Wateen Handovers its Network to Qubee and PTCL

Friday, November 30, 2012
Wateen Telecom has stopped providing broadband (internet and telephony) services in six cities. Resources in the company confirmed PTE Tech that Wateen is no longer offering internet and telephony services in 6 cities ranging from South, North and Central regions.

List of cities that Wateen handed over to PTCL is as follows:

South Region: Hyderabad, Sukkur and Quetta
North Region: Peshawar and Dera Ismail Khan
Central Region: Faisalabad

Letters and emails will be delivered to existing customers of Wateen whereas new customers will be routed to PTCL for internet connections.

It merits mentioning here that in South region Wateen has already decided to hand over its network to Qubee as it is. So that means all the customers of Wateen in that part of region will be shifted to Qubee owned by Augere Group.

More regarding the topic will be released soon.

  7. I feel very sorry to say that big companies like Wateen Telecom is earning by
fraud and misappropriation. They offer free trial if you deposit one month 2500
rupees fee and ensure immediate refund in first 5 days if one do not feel
satisfied. I tried their internet but it did not work and returned in 3 to 4
days. Now more than month has passed but they are not returning my money. They
are delaying refund on the pretext of processing by their finance department. I
wonder why such a big company is doing this. I am journalist, writer and
programmers. I care about other businesses and never say anything until it
becomes imperative due to their corruption. Despite I am poor freelancer but I
work very honestly and never extort money. Such thing never happen in advance
    countries like USA etc.
