The expansion of wi-tribe’s network capacity will improve their service experience and ensure better coverage to its existing network. The solutions being evaluated are video optimization, site addition and capacity enhancement.
As Pakistan’s no. 1 broadband service provider, in terms of customer satisfaction, wi-tribe is always focused on optimizing its services to delight its valued customers with the provision of not just reliable services but those which cater to their evolving needs.
Finally wi-tribe has announced unlimited package for its users. Wi-tribe unlimited internet packages are now available at lower rates with 2 new buckets of 1 MB and 2 MB for Rs. 1,399 and 1,999 respectively.
It has been confirmed that only postpaid users can avail this facility at the moment. Existing users will automatically be converted to new discounted rates. Whereas new customers need to ask specifically for discounted prices when the purchase connection.
It merits mentioning here that Wateen Telecom who is offering unlimited packages with initially 1000 GB’s assigned that is almost unreachable by consumers in a month. But Wateen still promises to increase your cap if you call their customer care after consuming 1000 GB’s in any month unlike wi-tribe who is offering unlimited services with following caps:
For 512 speed you will get 30GB data
For 1MB speed you will get 30GB data
For 2 MB speed you will get 40GB data
So I believe wi-tribe needs revision to its packages.
As per our discussion with wi-tribe customer care, you can get unlimited internet connectivity at 512 Kbps speed for just Rs. 999.
Things you must know about wi-tribe:
Upon purchase of any connection, you will be required to make an advance transaction of refundable security first deposit similar to your per month cost, along with initial charges
Rs.50 per month service expenses appropriate on all offers.
Excess utilization will be billed at Rs. 0.10 per MB
For came back Pc and Wi-Fi locations, Rs. 250 will be billed for losing adapters

Wi-tribe has announced this October that it will provide Samsung Galaxy S3, to those customers who will pay their outstanding bill before October 10th. This has become the practice of WiMAX and GSM operators in Pakistan to retain customers by offering such promotions every month. Therefore customers have also followed the trend and subscribed to different services to avail the lucrative benefits of these promotions by just paying the due bill at time.
I remember there was a time when Wateen used to ask its returning customers to pay atleast previous three months bill for reactivation of services. Now time has come due to the competition in the market companies need to apply retention tactics for survival. This thing keep them bringing these offers again and again.
As confirmed from wi-tribe representative, 20 prizes are to be won through lucky draw.
Existing customers can enter by clearing their bill before the due date. Winners will be announced by the end of the month.
It merits mentioning here that Wi-tribe is found very much active in social activities of spreading the information related its promotions and handling complaints of customers as compare to Wateen who is also on social networking sites but it hurts stating that the pioneer of WiMAX services in Pakistan is least concerned with complaints of customer or spreading the product info over the web instead they try to get involve their readers into competitions of stupid questions which are not even related to its services. This is the biggest dilemma with Wateen Telecom.
